Probiotics For the Immune System

Probiotics (good bacteria) is good for intestinal bacteria that are essential for the immune system. The word “probiotics”, which is used to refer to friendly bacteria, is derived from two Greek words meaning “to live.” Unlike “antibiotic” means “against life.” Maintain and promote the growth of beneficial bacteria, while destroying the harmful strains, is essential for health. If harmful bacteria grow in the proportions that are too big, serious consequences could arise. Most of us unfamiliar with the benefits of probiotics and the danger that we ourselves if we do not exploit these advantages.

Probiotics are living organisms, also known as friendly bacteria or flora, which colonize and thrive in a healthy gut. This friendly bacteria is very important to the health and functioning of the intestinal tract. In fact, the healthy intestine contains approximately three pounds friendly bacteria. These bacteria strains function as a back up of our bodies immune system. They promote health by secreting substances such as antibiotics, such as lactic acid, acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and others. Although these substances are produced in small quantities, they have a wide range of activities against salmonella, pseudomonas, E. coli and other harmful foodborne bacteria. If development of the gut with friendly bacteria, there is no room for dangerous, pathogenic strains to implant and grow. Probiotics not only help to detoxify and suppress pathogens, but also promote digestion. Certain strains are valuable because they produce copious amounts of the enzyme lactase, and thus is effective in helping many individuals tolerate dairy.

As friendly bacteria to grow and fill the space in your intestines, there will be no “vacancy” in which bad bacteria can lodge. Choose to protect themselves against toxic substances, harmful bacteria and infectious diseases, so that your friendly bacteria to recover. Feeding probiotics can be restored by eating fermented foods. However, unless you eat these foods on a daily basis, you are probably not enough to change what type of bacteria caused by food and environmental factors are missing.
